THE TEAM

I am Nisa Ontiveros-Mock, founder of Future Ready Athletics LLC. I am a former Division 1 Softball player, Division 1 Assistant Softball Coach, and Professional School Counselor. I played competitive travel softball from the ages 13-18 where I experienced the recruiting process firsthand leading to a scholarship to play at University of California, Berkeley. During my time at Cal I earned a Bachelors in Sociology and continued on to earn my Masters in School Counseling at University of Southern California. Since 2016, I have coached at the Division 1 Collegiate level, two competitive travel softball teams, two high school softball teams, and provided individual pitching lessons in several states. In 2019 I started my career as a High School Counselor where I worked with students on their college/career goals and finding scholarship opportunities. During my time as a coach and School Counselor I worked with several student-athletes that were unaware of the complete recruiting process.  

My goal is to help student-athletes become proactive in their academics, recruiting, and player development. I want to help develop the whole student-athlete during the recruiting process to gain a competitive edge over their competition. Many athletes focus on their sport and training, which creates gaps during their recruiting journey in their academics. My experience as a player, coach, and School Counselor will allow me to provide student-athletes and their families with information and resources they did not know they needed.
